My goal is to have every student actively engaged in every lesson. I believe the way to achieve this is to give my students control of their own learning by using hands on activities that allows them to connect to the subject matter, the teacher and one another. In my first teaching job at Windham High School, we lived by the 3 Rs: Relevance, Rigor and Relationships. I have since taking these to the middle school and have made the 3Rs a very important piece of my classroom that I try to remember on a daily basis. I also try and incorporate technology in my lessons wherever possible.
